Meet Katie Faris, a loving mother of five who has experienced the unexpected sorrows of motherhood through medical diagnoses for three of her children. With her strong Christian upbringing and faith, she’s been able to find hope and comfort in the midst of these challenging times. Katie has taken her experiences and written a book, “God is Still Good: Gospel Hope and Comfort for the Unexpected Sorrows of Motherhood,” to offer support and biblical context for other mothers going through their own unique sorrows. Her authentic and honest approach to discussing motherhood struggles is both refreshing and encouraging for those seeking hope and understanding.

Growing up in a Christian home, Katie Faris was always surrounded by the teachings and love of Jesus. At a young age, she began to understand the gospel and its importance to her life. As she grew older, however, like so many she had to decide to make her faith her own. Later in life, Katie faced the unexpected sorrows of motherhood through her children’s medical struggles. Amidst this pain, she discovered the beauty of hope and the comfort of a loving Father, who allowed her to bring her fears, anxieties, and heartache to Him. Through prayer and the study of scripture, Katie found solace and strength to face her challenges.
