My conversation with Hanha Hobson, the founder of
Transparency Ministries got me excited about the leadership and passion of the next generation. We chat about her mother not only challenging her to read God’s Word, but doing it with her. We talk about how the reading of God’s Word satiated a need in her that she didn’t know she had. We chat about proclaiming God’s truth over your life until you believe it. She is young. She is bold. She loves Jesus and it shows.
2:15 Hanha begins telling her transformation story which began her freshman year of college at University of North Carolina.
John 14:6 – Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
John 1:1 – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Hebrews 4:12 – For the Word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
9:28 “Every time we don’t read our Bible is a missed opportunity for us to hear from God.”
“I know that God is faithful. He’ll just meet you where you are if you stay committed to spend quality time with Him through reading His Word and through prayer.”

13:07 Hanha begins sharing how
Transparency Ministries came about.
“That whole season of my life was the Lord wrecking me and helping me realize how much I was loved and valued by Him.”
15:59 Hanha begins discussing
#confessionsproject
“Something that was pivotal in helping me grow was the idea of the Confessions Project, which is to declare God’s Word over my life.”
“Every morning before my feet every hit the ground I would say those Scriptures and those statements out loud…It changed the game for me. I watched the Word literally transform me from the inside out.”
I’m beautiful.
I’m more than a conqueror.
Victory is in me.
Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world.
God is on my side. He is for me. He is not against me.
20:42 We discuss Hanha’s devotional
Jesus is Bae.
Millennial definition of bae- your boo thing or your guy
B.A.E. – Before Anyone Else
24:26 “I think as Christians we can get so easily tangled up in religion and looking at God as a checklist…and we don’t really know what it means to be in a relationship with God.”
Psalm 34:8 – Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him.

Designed For Joy is a transitional work experience for women coming from trafficking, time in prison, homelessness and other vulnerable situations. The women receive a living wage for their work creating a brand of jewelry and bags.
I own several
Designed For Joy pieces that always receive compliments from my friends and spark conversations on how we can wear cute jewelry and carry cute bags with greater joy, because we are providing a much needed job to women in the triangle.
